 Welcome—I'm Ashley, and I’m honored you’re here.

When my soul dog, Jackson, passed unexpectedly at age 15, it became a profound and personal lesson in grief. Losing him broke my heart open. I came to understand just how isolating pet loss can feel, and how deeply people need someone who truly understands that kind of love—and that kind of pain. That experience became the foundation of my calling:  to support others through the tender, often overwhelming journey of saying goodbye to a beloved animal companion.

For years, I supported families and their pets through my professional pet care business, Allegiant Dog Walking, LLC. My path has also included training as a professional dog trainer, teaching Pet CPR & First Aid, working in veterinary hospitals and pet retail, and serving as an Animal Control Officer. Each experience helped me better understand the many ways people love the animals they call family.

I know, both personally and professionally, how heavy it can feel to care for an aging or terminally ill pet. The uncertainty. The emotional weight. The fear of making the wrong decision, or not knowing what comes next. That’s why I became a Certified End-of-Life Pet Doula—to help lighten that load for others.

As an end-of-life pet doula, I provide non-medical, heart-centered support rooted in presence, empathy, and gentle guidance. I help families navigate both the practical and emotional realities of this time—from making thoughtful care decisions and preparing for euthanasia to creating meaningful rituals and honoring their pet’s life in ways that bring comfort.

While I don’t provide veterinary care, I work closely alongside your veterinary team to support you in the ways they may not be able to—by helping you feel heard, and never judged. Whether you need someone to sit beside you during euthanasia, help manage daily care, or simply offer a steady presence when things feel uncertain, I’m here.
